Similar Dreams (2021)

Sometimes, at night, after an entire day spent at work, you drop onto your bed in such an agitated state that you don’t even notice you’re already asleep. Dreams are always different and often so long that only in the dream itself do you realize that you’ve already fallen asleep. You even try to wake up or at least create your own scene, as if the story was happening in reality. Sometimes you see people close to you that have passed away. They normally don’t speak – they keep their mysterious silence, while they wander from one side to the other and do something that you don’t even pay attention to. When you wake up, you only remember their deep stare and you feel chills all over your body.

There are times when the dream can be really funny, full of colour and positive energy. When you are living it inside your imaginary world, you want to stay in there forever. Waking up, you remember every detail, and you try to memorize every moment. When that happens, it’s essential not to look through the window, because they say that if we do, the memories disappear faster.

The funniest thing is when I tell my daughter, in the morning, about my dream and she completes my sentences with fragments of her own - we realize that we had similar dreams. And that happens very often – it’s unexplainable. By the way, I’ve never seen a monochromatic dream, I wonder if they really exist…
