Cornflowers
Have you ever woken up in your favourite place to the first sound of birds, while the morning is still wrapped in fog and the dew catches the first rays of sunlight?
If this is part of your everyday life, consider yourself lucky.
Life has taught me not to take moments like these for granted. Sometimes, unexpected changes happen, beyond our control, and suddenly we begin to see familiar places from an entirely different perspective.
A morning that only yesterday felt beautiful and safe can suddenly become frightening.
The place that once brought me peace and comfort now awakens completely different emotions. I look up and see nothing but blue sky, yet I feel anxious — overwhelmed by the thought that I can no longer see the golden wheat fields surrounding my favourite place.
Still, I tell myself it will not last forever.
Just a few more moments. The fog will lift, and I will see the landscape around me again, in all its beauty.
For now, the most important thing is not to lose faith. To remain calm, to think clearly, and to believe that somehow, everything will be alright.
And then, little by little, the landscape seems to become clearer.
I think I can already see the cornflowers I planted with my grandmother last year.
Can you see them too?
